On May 8, 2025, the “Smart Energy” – “Energia Intelligente” Workshop, promoted by CalPower and ITECH Electronics, was held in Milan. Very interesting was the speech by eng. Gianni Lisini of Ticinum Aerospace, who showed the valuable results of an complex test of an #hybrid #battery–#supercapacitor system for domestic applications, combined with a #photovoltaic panel via an interposed converter. Mr. Gianni Lisini discussed how the peak-shaving performed by the #supercapacitor system significantly extends the life of the #battery system. There were several interesting talks and Dr. Mauro Zucca held a talk on the characterization and simulation of the behavior of #supercapacitors, with several results from the MetSuperCap and EMPHASIS-Supercaps European projects.
