Busy week at IPQ

On Monday, June 3rd, IPQ hosted the annual meeting of the EURAMET European Metrology Network Smart Electricity Grids, while on Tuesday, June 4th, the meeting of the EURAMET Technical Committee on Electricity and Magnetism (TC-EM) and subcommittee Power and Energy (SC P&E) took place. On Wednesday, June 5th, Joint Technical Sessions were held and on June 6th, the meeting of the Euramet TC-EM subcommittee on Low frequency (SC LF) took place.

On June 4th, the INRiM team presented the 23IND04 MetSuperCap project at the TC-EM SC P&E, illustrating the aims and objectives of the project and the results achieved in the first year. The prospects of supercapacitor (SC) research for metrology have attracted some interest, as well as the potential use of SCs for GridForming and the innovation that SCs can bring to hybrid storage systems with the peak shaving.
